Job Description

Manage all aspects of welding lines, including robot programming, troubleshooting, fabrication and installation. 
•Responsible for supervising, installing, repairing, servicing machinery and equipment support systems 
•Order and maintain inventory of all spare parts 
•Identifying and trouble-shooting production problems 
•Maintaining production lines and performing predictive and preventive maintenance 
•Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices 
•Comply with all Safety Policies and Procedures 
•Comply with all Quality Systems Procedures 
•Ability to understand, record and communicate system problems and solutions 
•Ability to work extended hours, weekend and/ or holidays if needed 
•Manage and direct the efforts of weld techs and other engineering support staff 
•Ensure the welders are producing to print specifications, challenging new assemblies, and periodic quality checks

Qualifications

•Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation 
•Sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory 
•Robot programming and troubleshooting of the following equipment: ABB, FANUC, MOTOMAN, NACHI 
•Able to read electrical schematics and drawings 
•PLC programming and troubleshooting 
•Can troubleshoot, repair and install pneumatic systems 
•Can troubleshoot, repair and program resistance and MIG welding equipment 
•Perform required Preventative Maintenance checks and related data 
•Complete required logs and repair documentation 
•Work independently 
•Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings 
•Related work experience: 7-10 years of technical experience in manufacturing welding 
•Related technical degree such as Controls Engineer or Welding Engineering Technology 
•Previous supervisory experience
