Job Description

  • Champion improvements to our Reliability Initiatives throughout the Spring Grove facility

  • Use proven problem-solving techniques to help troubleshoot operational or quality issues in the paper and coated division of the mill;

  • Remain knowledgeable of the latest reliability technologies/techniques and implement as appropriate.

  • Determine best maintenance practices for specific pieces of equipment and/or equipment types.  These practices include, but not limited to:

    • Operate to Failure (OTF)

    • Preventive / Fixed Time Maintenance (FTM)

    • Predictive / Condition based maintenance (CBM)

  • Work within maintenance and closely with the production groups to determine projects that increase valve to the mill.

  • Represent the maintenance department in daily interactions

  • Utilize the root cause failure analysis system (RCFA) to prevent reoccurring failures.

  • Develop or modify preventative maintenance (PM) work requests within the CMMS system

  • Learn and foster Precision Maintenance best practices and act as a resource for crafts.

  • Plan, schedule and execute major equipment rebuilds;

  • Performs the first line supervisory functions of promoting safety

  • Actively participates in daily standard work including commitment-based safety, daily review of production/equipment performance, maintenance daily briefing, etc.

  • Identifies capital project opportunities to engineering/operations supervisors

  • Responds to Operational issues when on call-in schedule

  • Willingness to travel for identified training opportunities

 

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year degree in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering, or related field

  • Must have experience in manufacturing environments (professional or internship)

  • Must have strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle deadlines, variable workloads, and being on call, as required

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member;

  • SAP experience (particularly SAP Maintenance) is beneficial
