Job Description

Pixieset is a product company at heart, built on a foundation of design, engineering, and customer success. Our client gallery product make it possible for photographers to present their photos to their clients in the most beautiful way. We're looking for a UI / UX Designer to join us in pushing forward design at Pixieset. You will improve our current product and help design the next set of amazing features. You will also implement style guides, act as chief advocate for your design work, and work with other designers and with our engineers to produce outstanding UX and UI. You will become a creative force responsible for building an amazing product and brand at Pixieset

Your responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with our designers, engineers and product owners to deliver new product features from conception to launch
  • Find simple solutions to complex user experience challenges
  • Create detailed wireframes and click-through prototypes
  • Delivered high-fidelity mockups and assets to other team members
  • Continually seek and improve the capabilities as well as limitation of the system
  • Envision and deliver a winning product experience

Qualifications

You should be passionate about creating great products that improves people's lives. You have strong visual design skills and the ability to transform your ideas into products. You care about user interaction design, typography and layout and usability. You also understand the fast-changing, complex nature of the internet. You've designed for both the web and for mobile, and understand the possibilities and constraints that come with each platform.


Nice to haves:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Design in a relevant field (interactive design, new media, usability) or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ years of UI / UX experience
  • An exceptional portfolio demonstrating user interface designs and design thinking
  • Proven ability to design for cross-platform (iOS, Android, desktop web, mobile web) and across all levels of fidelity (whiteboard to wireframes, mockups and prototypes)
  • Mastery of standard design and prototyping tools
