Job Description

We are looking for our first QA Engineer to join our team. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and hands on engineer who can go take on a dual role of Quality Assurance plus Technical Support. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our product and platform is of the highest quality and reliability. You will work alongside our talented and highly collaborative engineers to test our product, squash bugs, and improve the overall quality of our technology stack. In addition, you will split time to closely support our Customer Service team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our engineering team to ship high quality, bug-free features
  • Develop QA approaches, policies, and processes that drive quality AND speed up time to market
  • Design, implement and execute automated testing frameworks across both UI and back end systems from scratch
  • Monitor users and customer support team escalations, reproducing defects in-house and drive issues to closure.
  • Develop, manage and maintain qa metrics and reporting
  • Provide technical support for our Customer Support team

Qualifications

Ideally you:

  • 2+ years experience working as a developer or a QA engineer
  • Knowledge and experience with various web stack related languages (PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL)
  • Have experience with automated testing frameworks/systems, for web and mobile
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
  • Be thoughtful, patient, and detail oriented
  • Humble – because you know you don’t have all the answers
