This person will be responsible to design, develop and implement web-based GIS applications utilizing ESRI tools. He / She will create, analyze, and maintain maps, data, and reports and will develop, plan, and implement complex GIS applications software for the system users and operators.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Design and develop complex GIS database models and templates
• Write, edit, install, and verify programs for debugged and edits programs for accessing, maintaining, linking and populating databases.
• Conduct database programming of relational databases, transportation modeling for project-based GIS tools used
• Write and/or present documentation supporting the web-based GIS efforts relating to this position.

Required Skills:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Geography or related field and five (5) years of experience working with a GIS system
  
• Must be analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills
• Must have experience coordinating GIS within a wide variety of organizations, groups, and individuals.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience utilizing ArcGIS/ArcInfo Workstation (ArcMAP) GIS to QA/QC useable files.
• Experience utilizing a variety of software to complete web-programming for GIS applications to include ESRI Desktop Advanced GIS software, Network Analyst extension (ESRI) software, Spatial Analyst extension (ESRI) software, ArcServer 10 or 10.1, ArcServer Network Analyst extension, ArcGIS Mobile-software devices communication with GIS mobile devices, ESRI developer network (EDN) developer tools for scripting and software development, Oracle RDMS database and SDE Geodatabase.
• 3 years of experience with Python programming languages.
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

• Additional programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL, and ColdFusion are a plus.
