In this role, you will be part of a small team of engineers delivering the next generation of production and test equipment for its Digital Medicines. The ideal candidate will be able to excel in a data-driven, fast-paced company that is pioneering its way in this newly-emerging regulated market. But it doesn’t end there. Job Description

  • Be part of a team that is responsible for the mechanical design and implementation of next-generation, high-volume test and production equipment for ingestible sensor fabrication
  • Interface with cross-functional teams and upper management to clearly communicate direction and priorities to the team
  • Work with and manage external vendors and CMOs in the delivery of automated manufacturing and test systems
  • Draft and execute design control documentation including mechanical CAD models, drawings, requirements, specifications, process validations, and risk management documents
  • Manage and lead multiple projects from developing project scopes, gathering requirements, managing timelines and implementation in a time sensitive manner
  • Role may include up to 10% travel (domestic)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Advanced degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in development and implementation of high-volume, automated platforms
  • Experience in a regulated environment preferred
  • The ability to lead a project to produce successful outcomes
  • A rock-solid work ethic and commitment to the team
  • Proficiency in mechanical design/CAD (Solidworks) and data analysis
  • Experience with high-volume, electro-mechanical systems design
  • The ability to interface with vendors and suppliers in a manner consistent with Proteus’s goals
  • Steadiness to work under pressure and to tight timelines
  • The capacity to prioritize a list of responsibilities and projects which may often change to best meet the needs of the production line
  • Integrity and patience needed to ensure all regulatory requirements are met each and every time; and the sense of responsibility to highlight and alert management when these requirements are not met
  • The ability to thoroughly document all experiments and findings; Process Validations
  • Excellent, detail-oriented verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) a plus
  • Software programming experience a plus: MATLAB, JMP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills along with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with small, cross-functional teams
