Job Title: Medical Writer (Contract)

Team: Permissions - Clinical

Reports To: Global Head of Clinical Operations

In this role, while working under the supervision of the Head of Clinical Affairs, you will focus on the delivery of clinical sections of investigational new drug (IND) and new drug applications (NDAs) for combination medical device-pharmaceutical products. You’ll also collaborate with the Clinical Affairs, Product Development, and Regulatory Affairs groups within Proteus in executing an integrated approach that culminates in seamless clinical document development and delivery. Job Description

  • Prepare clinical documents and summaries that support regulatory submissions and filings 
  • Write clinical study final reports, annual progress reports, and study-related reports
  • Provide documents that support regulatory submissions, marketing, and business development efforts
  • Assist with the preparation of clinical abstracts and manuscripts

Qualifications

  • RN or Bachelor's degree in a life science or a related field
  • 2 years of experience as a medical writer for a major pharmaceutical or device company 
  • Excellent technical writing skills 
  • Proactive in spotting potential problems and seeking successful solutions
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills along with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and graphical software
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, use critical-thinking to analyze problems which may require multiple factors and approaches

This position requires contractor to be onsite in Redwood City, CA one day per week.
