Job Title: Pharmacy Process and Operations Manager

Team: Business Engineering

Reports To: Head of Business Engineering

In this role, you will be working with the business engineering team to support Proteus’s digital medicine program and create novel efficient and effective operations to support commercial production. They’ll apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, develop and implement both technical and business process solutions. Additional facets of the role include: Lead pharmacy process development and operation support effort. This includes the execution of program initiatives to reach program goals by working closely with program managers, software development, pharmaceutical development, customer partnering and internal/external manufacturing and teams. Job Description

  • Lead internal and external pharmacy process development & operations to build and support digital drug products intended for clinical studies and commercial markets
  • Work alongside business strategy unit to identify areas for process improvement and formulate solutions to complex operation challenges
  • Work with customer partnering to realize scale-up goals
  • Partner with finance team to perform cost engineering relative to pharmacy engagements
  • Investigate and resolve commercial operation manufacturing and supplier quality concerns
  • Manage equipment set up, qualification and training at 3rd party operation sites, estimated travel 10-20% of time.
  • Must be hands-on leader willing to manage as well as be an individual contributor to program initiatives
  • Author and maintain required documentation in support of the quality system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or PharmD in Pharmacy or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience working in pharmacy operations
  • Understanding of pharmacy operations, including inventory management and prescription filling and dispensing
  • Knowledge of compounding processes and regulations
  • Familiarity with capsule dose forms and capsule fill/manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with manufacturing and/or commercial operations in a regulated environment preferred (medical device /pharmaceutical /pharmacy /combination products)
  • Understanding of GMP manufacturing preferred
  • Familiarity with process & equipment validation and transfer from R&D to production preferred
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills along with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with small, cross-functional teams
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
