Job Description

PubMatic is seeking a UX Designer who will contribute to ongoing improvements to digital products, design processes, and standards. This position will work with product managers, engineers, CSMs and customers to gather user experience requirements and map requirements into page flows designs. In addition, he/she will create static wireframes and interactive high-fidelity prototypes, and design specifications to support application road maps. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Act as the project lead, managing the project schedule and approvals for the User Experience team deliverables.
  • Define page layout, user flows, interaction design, and logic for application pages.
  • Work with User Experience, Product Managers, Marketing, and business stakeholders on project requirements, along with the overall strategic direction and vision of the applications.
  • Participate in user research and usability testing. Apply learnings and insights to designs.
  • Ensure that user requirements consider both the technical constraints and business requirements.
  • Create solutions designed to scale and grow over time, as the functionality and content matures and as user requirements evolve.
  • Participate in UX team jam sessions, component review meetings, and process conversations.
  • Contribute to the development of style guides.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice standards, deliverable templates, and process improvements.

 Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years performing interaction design for large-scale, web applications (b2b experience preferred), with an emphasis on functional design and content integration
  • Evidence of successful interaction design, templates, and design patterns for complex applications. 
  • Ability to provide direction, leadership, and collaboration in the creative process from conception to final production.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including negotiating sales, user, and business needs, through an iterative design process.
  • Experience with wireframing tools such as Omnigraffle for creating page flows.
  • Familiarity with the limits and constraints of design for the web applications.
  • Excellent interaction design and visual composition skills.
  • BA/BS in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Human Factors, or equivalent experience.
