Job Description

We are immediately hiring a relationship focused Senior Manager or Associate Director of Human Resources to execute inclusive employee experience programs and initiatives in Redwood City on a hybrid schedule.

Reporting to the Director, this key contributor acts in a generalist capacity and partner with local managers and employees with a focus on retention, the work environment and employee engagement.

As part of a larger global human resources team, you will collaborate with other regional HRBPs (HR Business Partners) on company-wide projects to support a growing organization and help scale support of the business. 

Job Priorities

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR (Human Resources) within the company. 
  • Ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure an elevated level of employee engagement.
  • Partner with Managers to assess team learning and development needs and create individual development plans.
  • Passion for innovative HR (Human Resources) solutions and process improvement; Strong project management skills; ability to lead projects and obtain buy-in.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements concerning employment in California, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
  • Manage all California leaves, in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist and advise managers and employees in the areas of performance management, feedback, and strategic talent assessment.
  • Responsible for maintaining immigration files and working with employees and internal immigration counsel on immigration cases. 
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of manager training and feedback programs. 
  • Execute employee rewards and recognition programs for the region. 
  • Provide compensation analysis to Managers for individual roles by utilizing external market salary data and recruiting data. 
  • Demonstrated success in creating and driving effective and positive employee relations, and retention. 
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus. 
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results. 
  • Responsible for one direct report as well as the day-to-day management of the office. 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years human resources business partner experience. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or Related Field. 
  • Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Action oriented, hands-on, able to work independently and with a sense of urgency. 
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time-management and multitasking skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent consulting skills. 
  • Flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels. 
  • Prior experience managing a direct report. 
  • HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) system knowledge (Success Factors experience preferred). 
  • SOX Compliance. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting regional and/or global offices. 
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Practitioner in Human Resources) Certification.
