Job Description

The Regional Vice President, CTV is responsible for growing our existing CTV Publisher relationships through strategic upsells and cross-sells. This role will develop and maintain executive-level relationships with our largest North American CTV Publisher Partners, including Publisher sales leadership teams. This position is a critical growth function that fulfills the promise of a strategic partnership for all CTV Publishers using the PubMatic platform. The responsibilities include partnering with the Customer Success team, driving account growth including maximizing access to CTV inventory, working with PubMatic’s Ad Solutions team which leads buyer (agency and advertiser and DSP) relationships, and selling new PubMatic products. 

The Regional Vice President, CTV owns direct, personal client relationships for the purpose of supporting customer needs and driving growth agendas with publisher accounts.   As the CTV programmatic advertising landscape evolves, this position will guide our publisher partners to take advantage of market trends through PubMatic’s solutions.  This role will be responsible for providing feedback to internal PubMatic teams on emerging trends and competitive developments to ensure that our solutions support customer needs. This position requires a strong working knowledge of the CTV landscape, including publisher sales strategies such as upfronts and new fronts, and inventory channel management strategies. 

Successful candidates will have a proven track record of growing business by understanding industry trends, developing deep customer relationships, identifying relevant solutions for those relationships, and delivering value. Collaboration with the PubMatic Customer Success and Advertiser Solutions teams is key to the role. This role reports to the VP of Customer Success Americas. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Track and analyze performance for a book of business to ensure key CTV accounts are exceeding sales plans 

  • Maintain active customer conversations through regular and consistent engagement at senior levels, demonstrating your market knowledge and programmatic expertise 

  • Develop “up the ladder” relationships with C-level executives at our publisher customers, including CTV sales leadership teams.  

  • Prepare and present market insights to partners to further support growth opportunities and recommendations 

  • Introduce and sell in new CTV products to our existing Publisher base 

  • Analyze and document CTV publisher ad tech stacks and partners (DSP’s, SSP’s, SSAI’s, etc.) to understand the best growth opportunities for PubMatic. Contribute to competitive insights and share with company stakeholders. 

  • Understand and document CTV publisher go-to-market sales strategies and partners to understand the best growth opportunities for PubMatic 

  • Collaborate with PubMatic cross-functional teams, such as Product and Advertiser Solutions, and team leaders to inform product alignment for account growth. Partner closely with VP of CTV/OTT on key strategies and customer execution. 

  • Works closely with the Customer Success team to create success plans for new, large CTV Publisher customers 

  • Partner with Advertiser Solutions to drive successful pairing of media buyer campaigns to CTV publisher inventory. Understand demand generation and advertiser needs to inform product alignment. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required, MBA or equivalent preferred 

  • 10+ years of recent work experience in online programmatic advertising including video and CTV advertising, as well as linear TV  

  • Hands-on experience with selling and servicing video and CTV publisher products, can include linear TV 

  • Comprehensive digital video advertising industry knowledge, linear TV knowledge a plus 

  • Record of working with publisher clients, growing a book of business and meeting sales targets 

  • Ability to present persuasive arguments to support recommendations internally and externally 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to a C-level audience; public speaking experience at industry shows and conferences

Return to Office: PubMatic employees throughout the global have returned to our offices via a hybrid work schedule (3 days “in office” and 2 days “working remotely”) that is intended to maximize collaboration, innovation, and productivity among teams and across functions.  All PubMatic employees in the US and India are required to be fully vaccinated to return to our offices.  Covid-19 boosters are not required at this point in time.
