Job Description

The Platform Solutions team at PubMatic works directly with our sales and Account Managers to showcase the value proposition of PubMatic’s products and solutions. You will serve as technical expert and advisor in all phases of the platform sales life cycle process. This includes technical consulting, sales support and implementation, training, and custom requirements definition.

The Solutions Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the sales process, including post-sale client onboarding and support. As the Solutions Engineer you will partner with the PubMatic engineering team to develop custom solutions and resolve issues during the sales cycle. The Solutions Engineer has exceptional technical aptitude and is a confident presenter who can prepare and present technical material to both business and technical audiences.  Additionally, this person is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to sales and Account Managers to assist in developing sales pitch, closing sales
  • Preparing and delivering live product demonstrations to prospective clients in conjunction with the Sales team
  • Supporting pre-sales efforts for RFI and RFP submissions
  • Defining technical requirements and specifications for custom solution development
  • Providing subject matter expertise to PubMatic Account Managers and customers in terms of best practices and capabilities to ensure balanced revenue strategies

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing complexities ranging from client setup work, artfully convincing clients on the benefits of integration, and evaluating custom solutions
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized
  • Able to deliver against multiple simultaneous tasks with excellence
  • Ability to work well with teams
  • Positive can-do attitude; Enthusiastic about problem solving and building technical skills
  • Deep understanding of ad serving technology (DART, Atlas, Right Media, Adx) and cookie based attribution in order to architect non-standard campaigns
  • Strong consultative sales skills, personable, charismatic, solutions oriented, creative thinker
  • Strong understanding of advanced digital campaign management, tagging, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of client-side web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
