Job Description

We’re proud to set the standard for success in our industry. To help us continue our growth, we’re seeking an experienced Events Specialist to join our highly skilled team.

 

The ideal candidate will be adept in building strong relationships with strategic customers, with the ability to identify client needs and to promote our company’s solutions, while sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

 

Although it is predominately commercially modelled, a key component of the role would be to oversee the relationships of the company with its most important clients, as well as having a thorough understanding of the client’s business drivers and requirements. The AD, however, must not become disconnected from the overall business insights which overlay strategy & creative, as well as systems and data for the successful delivery of client & product solutions.

Core to this position is to liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget, as well as overseeing the team delivery & performance of the assigned vertical. This includes the deployment of end-to-end channel solutions.

 

We are looking for an individual that who’s organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none, and they enjoy developing innovative solutions that push boundaries.

Qualifications

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or 4 years relevant work experience within a similar environment

EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years, commercial, sales & marketing industry experience
  • Experience in managing growth, improving profitability of sales, advertising & marketing services
  • On and Off Trade; Shopper Marketing Experience
  • End to end activations experience.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English
  • Willingness to travel into African markets
  • Managing multiple suppliers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Drive and meet sales objectives by continuously proposing solutions that add value, increase sales and delight consumers
  2. Meet set revenue targets by ensuring ongoing organic growth on Diageo.
  3. Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  4. Develop and expand trusted relationships with customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  5. Ensure products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner and within budget.
  6. Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant internal stakeholders.
  7. Quickly act to resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  8. Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
  9. Develop and manage account plans for all current clients with input from all key internal stakeholders
