Description/Job Summary:

Perform maintenance service or repairs. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Ensure that all flammable materials are stored in OSHA and EPA-approved containment devices. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards to manager/supervisor. Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, appliances (e.g., dishwashers, washing machines, water heaters, drinking fountains, ice machines) and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas, and drainage systems. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle using equipment such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines. Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets using appropriate techniques. Develop client rapport and promote partnership value with clients by fulfilling contractual obligations, seeking client feedback, and responding to client requests. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager/supervisor; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures (e.g., safety and security); ensure uniform/dress code and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; support workplace diversity initiatives. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; work with customer to ensure satisfaction.

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
  • Related Work Experience: 4-5 years related work experience
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory/managerial experience
