Job Description

The Senior Hardware Verification/Design Engineer is a key member of the Hardware Team, reporting to the Director of Hardware Engineering.   This is a senior technical role within the company with primary responsibility to scope, propose and implement Verification Platform to support the development of QuickLogic’s Proven System Blocks (PSBs), a library of modular system block designs that address connectivity, performance and user experience challenges in the storage, Display, and IO subsystems of mobile devices. Strong technical knowledge and presence, with the ability to interact with multiple groups and individuals with varied skill sets and experience is required for success in this position.

 

 

Key result areas for this position are: 

 

  • Deliver scalable System Verification Environment for PSB development
  • Mentor, train and support other junior engineers in the hardware team
  • Contribute to the infrastructure and process improvement of the SSG hardware team
  • Perform hardware  implementations to deliver customer winning experience

 

 

Key Activities/Tasks for these positions are:

 

  • Scope and develop requirements, propose and implement Verification solutions
  • Work closely with architecture teams to develop coverage and performance goals of the design
  • Handle system integration, testing and develop user documentation
  • Develop module level test strategy and write test plan
  • Develop Bus Functional Model and develop test cases
  • Perform gate-level functional verification and execute regression tests
  • Evaluate  and make recommendations to improve Verification Methodology
  • Implement PSB design using Verilog/VHDL
  • Project management
  • Adhere to the companies stated environmental improvement goals and standards

 

Qualifications

  • BS/MS Electronics Engineering with 5 years of experience in Verification and digital logic design.
  • Expert of verification languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog/VHDL
  • Experience with ModelSim UVM/OVM methodology
  • Experience with Perl, TCL, C, C++
  • Strong FPGA/digital design capability
  • Strong system debug skills
  • Knowledge and experience with lab equipments like  oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer
  • Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form
  • Prior experience working with multi-site, multi-cultural teams
