We work for a local technology solution provider and IT outsourcing company. The Company places IT professionals with medium and large companies in the Boston and New England area. They are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a full time, multi-year contract opportunity based in Quincy, MA.  

The Business Analyst will be involved in all levels of the software development cycle (requirements definition, functional design, development, system test and quality assurance) as well the analysis and resolution of client support calls. 

• Define business user requirements and use these to create technical; functional specifications
• Liaise with technical counterparts to ensure correct technical and functional flow/design
• Provide functional guidance to developers to resolve issues
• Provide implementation support and training to clients
• Create test cases to ensure the system processes according to functional specifications and execute tests to ensure functional requirements are met
  

• Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Economics or related degree
• 10+ years’ experience in Financial Services, preferably: OTC Derivatives accounting, European Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, Capital Markets and, Equity Derivatives with a concentration in Portfolio/Basket swaps and Total Rate of Return Swaps.
• Strong Trade Accounting and Settlement and/or regulatory reporting  knowledge is a plus
• Experience on a large capital markets implementation and/or practical experience in trading environments and industry knowledge of trading organization and/or industry knowledge of custodial institutions and asset servicing
• Knowledge of software development cycle
• Strong analytical skills and sufficient technical aptitude
• Must be able to work alone or in a team environment
• Strong Communication skills, verbal and written, applied across various levels of the organization
• Candidate must demonstrate adaptability to strategic changes and demonstrate strong initiative and motivation
  
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment, while maintaining the value proposition
• Vendor and Custom built management and application deployment, mapping, on-boarding
• Major Focus on any of the following applications:   Misys Summit, EagleSTAR, Misys Sophis Risqué, Calypso, PrimeOne, MarkitSERV MarkitWire, Univista
