Our client, one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in Maryland, who is on the path to becoming the largest real estate brokerage firm in the Baltimore Metro Area, has asked for our assistance in sourcing for an Accounting Associate – Business Lead for their Pikesville, MD office. They seek someone who is strong-willed, direct, and assertive while understanding that customers always come first. They want someone who gets the job done regardless of the time on the clock and who understands that it's all about results, not time on task. Basically, someone who is hands-on with a passion for crunching numbers that has strong leadership skills. Job Description

  • Keep accurate banking and accounting records
  • Perform computerized bookkeeping and general ledger entries (A/R and A/P)
  • Purchasing supplies and equipment
  • Expense Management
  • Maintain office equipment and technology
  • Systems implementation and integration
  • Create agendas and record meeting minutes
  • Introduction of new products/services to existing agent associates
  • Assist CEO in managing agents and office
  • Assist in making financial decisions for the company
  • Hire, train and consult office staff
  • Team Lead
  • General office skills

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping skills required
  • Leadership-management skills required
  • Financial management skills a plus
  • Have the desire to succeed through others
  • Proactively handle challenging people/situations while staying accommodating with a supportive attitude
  • Have persistence, strong follow-up skills, and comfort with routine
  • Stay relaxed, steady, and work with methodical pace while using proof/facts and a high level of objectivity/impartiality in their actions and decision-making
  • Possess the ability to work with facts and technical information
  • Have strong attention to detail, be cooperative, and work “by the book.”

Additional Information

Expectations are that the company will experience explosive growth over the next few years and they are looking for the next candidate to join their Executive Leadership Team. After 3 months, the candidate will hire an assistant to help with bookkeeping and data entry. The candidate will also earn an opportunity to discuss a bonus structure and long-term opportunities within the multi-office enterprise.

  • Starting Salary: US$ 50,000 - $60,000 Annually DOE
