We are currently working with a reputable, growing regional CPA firm and they have asked for our assistance in sourcing for a sharp experienced professional Audit Associate for their Chambersburg, PA location. The company currently has three full-service offices conveniently located throughout South Central Pennsylvania who delivers broad, large accounting firm capabilities on a platform that features the efficient, personal, one-on-one service more typically found in a mid-sized to small firm.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess auditing experience with solid technical skills in auditing and risk assessment. In addition, the candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a highly detail oriented work environment.

The responsibilities for the Audit Associate include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively perform fieldwork on audit, review and compilation engagements
  • Prepare nonprofit tax returns
  • Work under the direction of the audit manager
  • Stay up to date on new accounting and auditing pronouncements
  • Comply with deadline requirements of engagements
  • Actively promote and facilitate teamwork throughout the firm

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of financial statement audit experience in public accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Experience with governmental entities and not-for-profits is a plus
  • Experience preparing IRS Form 990 is a plus
