Job Description

Under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Production Assembly Associate assembles products until they are completed to acceptance test procedures and routing operations by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs light assembly work and boxes products to meet production requirements
  • Assembles parts together by using soldering equipment
  • Performs in-process quality checks on all products assembled and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
  • Completes assemblies using hand tools and soldering tools
  • Maintains and proposes changes to assembly procedures
  • Confers with managers or others to assess progress and discuss needed changes that could impact assembly of products
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs final cleanup at end of each shift, including breaking down boxes, sweeping, emptying garbage, and removing cardboard pallets
  • Performs other additional duties as assigned or required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot effectively
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED)
  • General knowledge of warehouse operations and assembly environment or performing related work

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and skill with soldering
