Refinery29 is looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented freelance photo editor  to contribute to a fast-paced photo department.  This position will provide support to the photo department and will work closely with the Photo team. The job will entail working on large programs on tight timelines that have  significant photo elements.

Responsibilities

• Assembling creative teams for photo shoots,  photographers, hair, makeup and stylists

• Coordinating shoot timelines

• Communicating with talent

• Securing locations

• Tracking photo shoot costs

• Organizing photos for approval

• Resizing images for web

• Compiling photo credits

• Purchasing stock imagery

• Maintaining edit and photographer deadlines

• Assisting with photo research

• Job duties may change as per business needs

• 2+ years production experience in an editorial photo department

• Must have experience producing photo shoots

• Must be proficient in Photoshop

• Must be able to do basic retouching, color correcting and layouts

• Excellent communication skills

• Extremely organized

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
