Job Description

Refinery29 is currently looking for a Support Engineer to act as first level, help desk support for 200 users in a mixed Apple and Windows environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Respond to requests either in person or remotely via phone or chat
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • Install and troubleshoot Cisco IP phones
  • Set up workstations for new users
  • Assist with any employee equipment moves
  • Proactively address problems and issues
  • Install, modify, and repair computer software
  • Resolve technical problems users may have with LAN, WLAN , and other systems

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years Experience working in Creative/Studio environments
  • Advanced Understanding of the Windows Operating System
  • Experience working in primarily Mac OS X environment
  • Experience with Mac OS X and Apple related products and software 
  • In depth knowledge of the Adobe Suite of Applications 
  • Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting experience of the Office suite of Applications, both for Mac and PC
  • Experience with Google Apps
  • Self-starter who is not afraid to get dirty and take on anything that comes their way
  • Strong communication skills, ability to explain situations and set expectations
  • Experience managing VOIP systems
  • Must be hard working and passionate about his/her craft
  • University Degree or equivalent qualification

Desired Skills

  • Experience with IP/Analog based security systems
  • Understanding of scripting languages
  • Apple Desktop Support and/or Server Certified 
  • Experience with the JAMF Casper Suite
  • LAN/WLAN knowledge
