Job Description

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to help grow the Refinery29 audience.  The person will work closely with teams throughout the company to build creative marketing campaigns and partnerships. Our marketing team has a passion for editorial content and is extremely organized and analytical. This role requires a natural passion to connect with the broader cultural and social media world, live in it day-to-day and develop Refinery29’s audience in these interest areas.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop syndication and brand relationships across interest categories including fashion, art, music, beauty, home décor, food and other expansion areas
  • Develop and negotiate marketing partnerships that grow site traffic and audience
  • Manage execution of syndication partnerships and outreach initiatives
  • Analyze performance of partner and outreach initiatives
  • Investigate and experiment with new and growing social channels in collaboration with the social media team
  • Lead and manage brand-focused marketing initiatives on a project-basis
  • Monitor trends, strategies, and best practices in market and apply knowledge to partnerships and new initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience for a fast-paced, growing digital company
  • Experience using and marketing across social networks, blogs, and content sharing communities including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience reaching out to partners and influencers
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and have experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Data-driven, experience using web analytics and similar reporting tools is a plus
  • Ability to handle pressure and work to deadlines
  • Organized and able to multitask efficiently
  • Project management experience
  • Interested in marketing and fashion, love the thrill of working at a start-up, and be clued in to new developments on the Internet
