Job Description

Designer, Marketplace & Media will work to develop innovative solutions to market and support our advertising industry facing brand and products.  This position will collaborate with the Revenue team to design layouts and templates for sales marketing collateral, work closely with UX teams creating exciting new web templates and advertising product solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas both visually and verbally are key to this role. Candidate must be tuned in to current trends in design, contemporary culture, social media, and fashion and be able to design with a range of clients in mind—from high-end fashion to consumer electronics. This role will work closely with our Creative Director to further establish R29 as one of today’s most forward-thinking media companies, innovating in the advertising space.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating designs for a variety of innovative custom advertising products
  • Executing a range of online and offline creative work for Advertising and Marketing
  • Working with our UX and product teams to develop interactive site templates that elevate our brand and are intuitive for our audience
  • Maintain and advance the Refinery29 visual brand by enforcing brand guidelines and continuously exploring new ways to enhance those guidelines across the revenue team 
  • Working in a detail-oriented fashion by delivering projects according to initial specs and requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design experience with an established digital company, online media publication, or ad agency
  • Well rounded design skills demonstrating experience with web-based typography, layout, and interactive design
  • Strong interest in Advertising, Marketing and Branding
  • Positive communication skills and a collaborative, group-oriented approach to work
  • A solutions-oriented, optimistic mentality
  • Strong desire to develop creatively and push the R29 visual brand forward
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Robust command of the Adobe Creative Suite
