SCOPE: This position requires an individual with the willingness to work in, and accept responsibility for, detailed accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and provide prompt and accurate measurements to internal staff are critical. Previous CAD and computer software experience are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to communicate across a diverse customer/client/staff base. The selected individual will work directly with the Director of Business Development, Field Supervisor and Sales Staff. Focus will be on providing accurate measurements and general floor covering information in response to sales personnel requests and Field Supervisor’s needs. As a team member who may often be called upon to greet/meet/speak with our customers, a professional appearance and speaking manner is critical to success. This individual will be reliable, motivated to succeed, and must present a positive, professional attitude and appearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This individual will be responsible for floor covering measurements as assigned by his/her supervisor;
• Perform job site measures;
• Investigate short/over measures to correct problem;
• Assist Sales Staff in creating sales proposals;
• Assist with construction-related estimating, as needed;
• Review existing floor covering measures and correct as appropriate;
• Create client data files and store individual buildings and apartment layouts to include individual rooms and hallways measurements;
• Provide back up support for Field Supervisor to ensure departmental needs are met;
• Fully utilize the Company’s estimating software;
• Communicate to supervisor, field and sales staff any issues that hinder his/her ability to effectively perform assigned duties;
• Provide weekly activity reports as requested by his/her supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• This position requires a minimum of 2 years of floor covering measuring experience, a high school diploma or equivalent; some college or enhanced technical training is a plus. 
• Those with experience using RFMS Measure software will be considered first. Good interpersonal skills are required for interaction with the internal staff and external customers. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products and working knowledge of CAD systems is highly desirable. 
• The ability to read and interpret building blue prints is required. 
• This individual must be detail oriented. 
• Flexibility in weekday, and an occasional weekend, schedule is a must as is a valid, clean, driver’s license. 
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
