Riverhawk Company designs and builds hardware systems and tooling for power generation systems and other applications for companies such as GE, Siemens, and Johnson Controls. As a leader in engineering-driven manufacturing, Riverhawk is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to its team. This full time position is based out of the New Hartford, NY office.

What you’ll do:

· Work closely with customers to determine their needs and specifications

· Design custom solutions or choose and apply an existing product to meet customers’ needs

· Use the latest FEA software, in-house programs, and classical equations to analyze and optimize designs

· Develop 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings for manufacturing

· Collaborate with vendors, as well as the manufacturing and quality teams to support the production of the designs

· Develop test equipment and procedures to validate designs

· Perform or lead technicians in the completion of product validation testing

· Develop documentation in the form of drawings and instruction manuals to assist the customer in safe and proper use of products

· Provide technical support to customers and field service technicians for the life of the product

· Travel to customer sites to coordinate design work, present proposals, and troubleshoot issues

What we need:
Applicants should have the following skills and abilities.

· 0-5 years’ experience

· Minimum BSMET, BSME preferred

· 3D Design experience or training, Solid Works experience preferred

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· An energetic and engaging personality

· Ability to work independently and on a team

· Ability to travel occasionally
