In addition, we partner with artists to help them engage with their fans with custom mobile and web solutions.

Job Description

We are looking for aspiring writers that love music and seek an opportunity to build their professional portfolios. Not too bad right? You get to build your portfolio and write about something you enjoy, plus the added perk of potentially covering concerts for us. Your work will not only be posted on our blog, it’ll also be circulated through our various social media outlets, providing you with exposure to our sizable followings. Also, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a digital publication.

We want writers that can produce high-quality, original content that is engaging and requires little to no editing. Our musically diversified platform offers a wide variety of topics to cover and our objective is to have our writers focus on the areas in which they have the most passion. Although we’re based in New York City, you can write from anywhere!

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Some writing/journalism experience preferred but not necessary.

Skills:

  • Strong research skills.

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills.

  • A genuine passion for writing and music.

Education:

  • College graduate or currently pursuing a college degree.

  • A strong grasp of the aforementioned skills outweigh the educational requirements.

Additional Information

  • Required: a few paragraphs on your favorite music (genres, bands, etc).
