Job Description

Serves as the primary HR contact for MMI employees, utilizing knowledge base and case management tools to assist employees in completing their human resource transactions and issue resolution.

Inputs, updates, and/or retrieves information from various automated human resource systems (ie., payroll, training, etc)

Provides information to answer questions from employees and managers regarding human resource transactions.

Day-to-day processing of HR transactions in Workday, as well as follow up tasks.

Develops strategies for implementing operational efficiencies by reviewing HR work flows, procedures, and performance.

Executes human resources policies and procedures. Builds and maintains positive, effective, and mutually beneficial-working alliances within the HR organization (Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Staffing, HR Business Partners, etc).

Provide exit support to employees and managers (voluntary and involuntary exits)

May develop and generate complex ad hoc reports using multiple HR database systems. 


Must have skills and experience:


Demonstrates a basic understanding of employee relations and Human Resources policies, systems, and service delivery models.

Knowledge of general human resource practices.

Ability to handle high volume of employee inquiry (phone/email/chat) while maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to multi-task in a high and manage multiple priorities.

Provide customer service solutions within the context of HR

Ability/Flexibility to work non standard hours, as needed (potential/occasional start time of 7am CST, or potential end time of 7pm CST)

Ability to communicate and partner effectively within a global organization.


Requires an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years HR experience (coordinator, assistant or generalist type role).


Required applications/hardware/systems:

Knowledge of various computer software applications such as Windows 2007/2010 and Gmail. Familiarity with using case tracking software (ie., Dovetail, Clarify, etc).

High degree of competency using MS Excel.


Nice to haves:

Proficient MS Excel reporting skills and utilizes them in reporting and data analysis.
