**SGS is hiring a Senior Mechanical Inspector(HVAC, Rotating Equipment & Static) with Fabrication Yard Experience**

Job Description

  • Receipt inspection of incoming materials but not limited to static & rotary equipment, HVAC and spare parts etc;
  • Ensures all quality requirements detailed in purchase orders are met
  • Inspect materials and static & rotary equipment for visual, dimension and specification compliance, as per purchase order requirements.
  • Correlate material certificate and/or released notes with material and or equipment identification numbers i.e., heat, cast, serial number, etc. Verify any physical damages when reported by warehouse.
  • Inspect the mechanical equipment's and fill up the inspection check list as required by code and national standard and project specification.
  • Check and verify DC survey of equipment/equipment supports
  • Static equipment Boxup inspection
  • Check vessel trays and internal parts inspection
  • Static & rotary equipment nozzle and piping connection inspection
  • Identifies, records, and follows up on items which fail to meet specified procedures/standards;
  • Ensure non-conformances are captured in OS&D and material is quarantined, for non- compliance to purchase order and project specification requirement.
  • Ensure HOLD label complete with date filled in the Tag/sticker are applied to all non-conformance materials.
  • Review of Material test Certificate (MTC) for compliance with codes & standard, project specification requirements or and other additional requirements, mentioned in PO.
  • Ensure that DR/NCR/CAR raised for products/materials wherever non-conformities are observed and recorded on a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) in accordance with Project Non-Conformance Procedure.
  • Responsible for examining and inspecting incoming materials and parts, ensuring products or parts conform to Project specification/code/quality requirements
  • Conduct mechanical inspections not limited to vessels, separators, exchangers, sumps, valves, piping • Installation inspection of hoist and trolleys
  • Inspect HVAC fabrication and installation activities
  • Review Design drawings, Engineering Specifications, SDR/TQ requests

Qualifications

  • Engineering Bachelor Degree or Diploma or equivalent education level w
  • CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector (or equivalent)
  • ISO 9001:2015, ASNT/PCN/ISO RT/UT/MT/PT Level 2
  • Trade Certification in rotating equipment(e.g UK city and Guilds) and at least 10 years' experience
  • Demonstrated over 10 years of experience in the Mechanical Inspector of offshore Oil and Gas Topsides facilities.
  • Good knowledge of working and interpreting specifications, International Codes and Standards ASME Sec VIII Div 1,2, ASME Sec II Part A,B,C,ASME Sec V,ASME Sec IX,API 510,570,617,610,672 etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience required on CRA static & rotary equipment and materials preservation. 
  • Ability to work on Projects in a complex and multicultural environment, with a high level of proficiency in written and communication skills in English.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
