Job Description
The Biochemistry Sciences Specialist (Marine Ecosystem) will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive marine ecosystem studies, including water quality analysis, biodiversity assessments, and habitat mapping
- Designing and implementing research protocols for field and laboratory experiments
- Managing and maintaining field and laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing biological and chemical samples from marine environments
- Ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations in all research activities
- Developing and implementing strategies for the protection and management of marine life
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of scientists, policymakers, and stakeholders
- Preparing detailed scientific reports, research papers, and presentations on findings
- Staying current with the latest developments in marine biochemistry and ecosystem research
- Contributing to the development of environmental policies and conservation strategies
- Organizing and leading field expeditions in various marine environments
- Utilizing advanced data analysis and modeling techniques to interpret research findings
- Engaging in public outreach and education initiatives to promote marine conservation awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine ecosystem studies
- Experience with marine field and laboratory equipment
- Valid diving certificate

Project Duration: The contract duration is three (3) Gregorian years.
