Job Description
Plan, organize, direct and control the operations and functions of THE DRC operations (trade and geochemistry). To meet business objectives and ensure compliance with the Company's policies and directives.
- Plan, organize, direct and control mineral operations.
- Responsible for control of mineral operations revenue and expenditure in accordance with operational budgets and business strategies
- Set annual budget goals in collaboration with the line manager.
- Pricing policy manager in collaboration with finance manager and line manager
- Ensure adequate and appropriate human resources, equipment and tools are available for full operational efficiency.
- Manage and continually improve the quality management system and the implementation of all certifications and accreditation systems across industries
- Automotive Fleet Management Manager for the department.
- Responsible for the effective implementation of SGS QHSE systems, as well as customer-specific safety standards (e.g. ISO 17025 & NOSA)
- Liaise and provide technical support to all present and potential clients.
- Handle all complaints and resolution of complaints
- Ensure technical and commercial support as well as coordination of proposals
- Keep current with new trends, current developments and relevant research
- Hold appropriate monthly meetings with management and support personnel.
- Conduct monthly service level performance meetings with all business units, as well as with clients
- Conduct quarterly customer satisfaction surveys
- Ensure that all departments implement quality measures for the standard ISO9001 and ISO17020, and that accreditation and certification are achieved and maintained.
Qualifications
- Minimum University Diploma of Master of Applied Chemistry or similar science
- Minimum 8-year experience in mineral mining operations
- Entrepreneurial and profitable spirit
- Excellent leader
- Mastery of English and Local Languages
