Job Description
The Civil Quality inspector shall maintain, monitor, and ensure highest Quality in services or products. Key accountabilities and activities are given below:
- Shall perform regular Quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products.
- Shall reject all products and materials that fail to meet Quality expectations.
- Shall be able to read plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
- Shall be able to measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Shall be able to document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Checks the preparation of foundations.
- Checks the correct preparation of reinforcements.
- Checks the certifications regarding element mixes. LASTM test, chemical analysis, grain size analysis.
- Monitors atmospheric conditions during pouring operations, correct curing operations.
- Checks the sampling operations (when required).
- Reviews the laboratory examination results.
- Checks sub-grade dry density, moisture content, compression strength test, concrete pouring, materials Quality (wire, fitting etc.).
- Verifies special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
Qualifications
- Experience of working on major infrastructure projects and building. Infrastructure inspector shall have good knowledge of roads and bridges.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quality Control Inspector position with 3-year Diploma.
