Job Description

This is a lead role for Telecom billing for a major tech company managing telecom functions for North & South America. This role will be hands-on as well as a ‘disrupting’ factor to drive optimization. The Telecom Billing team processes over 100’s of invoices per month and involves working with several groups to ensure narrow variances for month-end financial close.

Upon completion, they can add things like supervisory experience, B2B system integration & automation, and significant support cost optimization.

 

Objectives:

• Stabilize the month-to-month reconciliation with AP and cost distribution functions.

• Focus on duplication between other groups and optimize.

• Enable and drive payment automation, leveraging industry B2B solutions including EDI based solutions for Invoice processing utilizing EDI X12 811 consolidated invoice standards

• Formalize and validate the existing accrual practice, define the accrual calculation.

• Identify and present support cost factors, present a scalable support strategy.



Qualifications

Qualifications:

• The role is ‘onsite' in San Jose, working 

• Ideal candidate needs self-starter skills, confidence to challenge existing processes in the spirit of improvement

• This is a project level assignment with ongoing day-to-day deliverables that will be significantly reduced or eliminated with a successful solution

• The objectives are accelerated, the right candidate does whatever is needed to meet the goals (e.g. Sets their own schedule)

• Experience with financial systems, specifically Journal functions, Cost distribution, and Balance-sheet Accounts is a plus. 

• Proficient with Excel, v-lookup, pivots, large datasets, data normalization, etc.

• Any telecom background, telecom billing/invoicing or exposure is a plus.
