Job Description

Sacré-Davey currently has an opportunity for a Part-Time Permanent Intermediate to Senior Scheduler as part of our project services team. The anticipated workload will be 16 to 24 hours each week.

This role will have involvement with projects in a variety of industries, including oil & gas, heavy industrial, mining, food & beverage, and clean technology. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual with superior analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of the engineering consulting industry.

  • Work with Project Managers and Leads to prepare project schedules in alignment with engineering and project scope and Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Develop engineering, and overall project schedules based on the project stage gate requirements.
  • Defines schedule scope and battery limits based on the project design basis and charter documents.
  • Collects vendor quotes, contract bids and other data in development of schedules.
  • Organizes schedule data and develops Basis of Schedule documentation.
  • Logs changes in schedule due to changes in scope and updates in design.
  • Development of quality detailed schedules within compacted timelines.
  • Completes schedule updates to reflect progress and project tracking.
  • Estimates task timelines, dependencies and sequences of tasks in schedule development.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in scheduling, including thorough knowledge of project management functions, project development, construction methods and procurement processes.
  • At minimum a Diploma of Technology in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Building, or Electrical design. .
  • Ability to prepare detailed schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project required.
  • Experience within an engineering consulting environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience in industrial construction an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to produce quality work with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and organizing work assignments.
  • Team player with good facilitation skills and a client focus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
