Job Description

To provide design and drafting support for engineering projects and proposals.  To work with Senior Designers and Engineers to develop technical concepts into workable and efficient equipment and system configurations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed mechanical/structural/electrical engineering designs (where applicable).
  • Create 3-D, 2-D, conceptual models/layouts.
  • Interface with engineers, clients, and vendors on design specifications.
  • Deveop formal assemblies and detailed drawings from approved models/layouts.
  • Check other drawings/designs for accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Associate or Technical degree in Engineering Design/Graphics. (Preferred but not required)

 

Experience:

Three or more years engineering design and drafting experience.

 

Special Skills/Knowledge:

Must be computer literate.  Experience in MS Office is required. Proficient in3D AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.  Thorough understanding of drafting procedures and layouts.   May require specific departmental discipline and software experience, (i.e., mechanical/electrical engineering, environmental, or quality/safety).  Additionally, it would be of advantage if the candidate were experienced in ROV Tooling, Subsea Equipment, understanding of offshore operations and transportation of equipment.

 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.  Must be able to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.  Must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs. and occasionally may be required to lift and/or move objects up to 20 lbs.  Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Must be able to work with both hands and must not have any physical limitations preventing the work to be done safely.  Must satisfactorily compete a Company paid physical as required by Company and/or government regulations.
