Private Primary/Family Practice is seeking an experienced certified coder to join their team. Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8:00am until 4:00pm. CPC certification and 2+ years of experience preferred. Current knowledge and experience in ICD-10 Codes.

Responsibilities/Activities:

• Using various defined resources along with sound judgment and critical thinking, enter direct and interpreted data from encounter forms into billing software, ensuring adherence to patient, practice, and compliance standards.

• Provide proactive and routine feedback to Revenue Cycle Manager regarding any deficiencies, variances, and/or other issues identified during the billing process.

• Process all assigned pending and rejected claims in a timely and accurate manner.

• Process and distribute all front-end patient reporting in a timely and accurate manner.

• Exhibit strong customer service skills to build and maintain internal relationships in order to best address patient/practice needs.

• Meet or exceed billing turn-around-times and compliance standards on a consistent basis.

• Conduct all job tasks, duties, and interactions with professionalism, respect, a positive attitude, and in accordance with practice compliance policies and applicable government regulations.
