Job Description

Samsung SDS America (SDSA) is looking for an experienced Training to help develop and execute an external-facing training program in support of the company’s channel sales (partner-led) strategies. We’re at the ground floor of the company’s first ever channel program, so your contribution will have an immediate impact. Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the initial training program geared toward both sales and technical audiences. Delivery will be via the web and classroom/lab environments.

• Provide input and development toward web-based learning tools. 

• Support in the implementation of a training portal and learning management system (LMS). Maintain all relevant training material and related tools, ensuring they’re accessible by the company’s partners.

• Conduct ongoing assessments of the training needs of the company’s channel partners as well as the effectiveness of the training modules themselves to ensure partner needs are met

• Partner with the channel account management team to provide continuing sales training and education for the partner community to ensure minimum certifications are maintained.

• Provide continuous refinement of all training materials utilized in training program. 

• Collaborate with the product team to determine what new publications, products, programs, product launches and initiatives should be introduced and what the training needs are for their success of the partner community. 

• At the direction of the Regional Channel Account Managers, assist in account development and implementation of key tactics within geographical territories; and as required develop individualized training programs to assist in specific skill development as identified by the leadership team. 

• Leverage existing content but also develop new materials by partnering with the product organization.

• Support new product launch efforts in the channel including collateral, communication strategy, training tools and related activities

Qualifications:

• Required:

 Strong organizational, planning, implementation and execution of project management skills 

 Strong verbal and communication skills and strong presentation and facilitation skills 

 Self-starter with results orientation 

 Ability to manage multiple priorities based on changing business needs 

 Ability to facilitate meeting and encourage broad participation from others 

 Ability to tailor training/presentation based on audience 

 Experience working with cross-functional departments 

 Have a strong understanding of information technologies and a proven ability to communicate/teach to others 

 Have a baseline understanding of mobile technologies and related ecosystem (devices, carriers, security, applications, etc.)

 Complete understanding of adult leaning principles with a demonstrated ability to apply those principles in a classroom and/or lab environment

 Proven capacity to excel in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, team environment

 Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills and problem solving abilities

 Able to show examples of work which effectively demonstrate content writing skills

 Able to work well independently and in a team environment, and interact with individuals at all levels in the organization

 Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills; detail-oriented, highly motivated and self-starter skills

 Creative and conceptual thinker that can turn ideas into impactful results

 Collaboration with SDS headquarters in S. Korea which will require occasional off-hours work

• Better:

 Experience launching a new IT product and/or channel program within the IT industry a plus

 Software or software-as-a-service (SAAS) experience a plus

 Experience working across international time zones and in a multi-cultural environment a plus

 Mobile applications and related ecosystem (devices, carriers, security, etc.) experience a plus
