Your mission is to: utilizes the latest sales methodologies whilst being supported by marketing, inside sales and pre-sales consultants, which means you’ll have the resources you need so you can focus on what you’re really good at: turning sales projects into deals! 

Sana is on a mission to make companies successful with our e-commerce software. That is why we are looking for a Channel Sales Manager to make that happen. As our newest Channel Sales you will be responsible for finding, building and winning new business clients in Sana’s growing ANZ-region. Either through a direct end-client approach or through a commercial collaboration with our partners you know what it takes to develop new business.

Collaborate with an amazing, international sales team that is passionate about progressive sales methodologies and creating tangible results. You will be supported by our marketing team, our business development team and our pre-sales consultants to create and assure your business. You will have all the resources you need to be our future sales star

Doing sales in this segment requires a custom approach. You need to be able to present our standard e-commerce solution, but also to define in what ways our solution can be customized to fit the exact needs of our clients. To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who can think out of the box, has strong persuasion skills and seeks alignment between internal and external stakeholders involved in a project. Being persistent is natural to you.

How you will achieve this? By working together with our best professionals in marketing, business development and presales. You are in the lead to guide prospects and (future) clients through the sales cycle. During the cycle you have a consultative selling approach that will enable you to identify new clients and build long-term relationships. These relationships are crucial, as the average sales cycle lasts between four and nine months.

Your day will be awesome:

  • When you successfully close that big deal, you have been working on for the last few months. You used your perseverance and a healthy dose of patience to turn this prospect into a client. During this process you have been by working together with (pre-sales) consultants and have taken on a consultative sales role that will enable you to build long-term relationships with our new clients.
  • When your clients let you know they are thrilled about the way you supported them. Sales in this segment at Sana Commerce require a custom approach. As such, you need to be able to present both our standard solution and explain how our solution can fulfill specific client needs. An essential part of this is being able to think out of the box and having strong powers of persuasion, so you can get all stakeholders (internal and external) on board with a project.
  • You walk out of the office at the end of the day knowing not only our business, but especially the business of our clients has taken a flight because of you! Sana Commerce headquarters is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and has been successfully selling e-commerce software since 2008.

Examples of successful Sana clients in this segment include Stone Brewing, Zumex, Flex Fit. You’ll be on the road visiting prospects and partners, as well as attending various events. As we sell a digital product, you’ll also have a lot of online client contact via traditional means as well as via webinars and product demonstrations. This way you keep challenging yourself to be your best self!

Qualifications

We are looking for:

A new colleague who enjoys the challenge of being a part of a growing start-up in the Nordic region. With an entrepreneurial mindset and your commercial sales skills, you are bound to be successful. You have experience with long, complex sales cycles. That is why you understand that asking good questions, having great listening skills and be patience are all needed to helping clients reach their full online potential with Sana Commerce!

You also have:

  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Sales experience. At least 4 years of experience in Software Sales or similar experience in the partner channel or vendor. Not required, but preferred: Experienced in the challenger sales methodology. Next to this you are a great closer – you dare to ask to get deals signed.
  • Communicative skills. You speak and write fluent English. You are great at understanding customer needs and know how to look for the ‘question behind the question’. You leave no room for interpretation. Making connections and build relationships is your special skill.
  • Entrepreneurial skills. You have a lot of energy, are excited about the e-commerce industry and you cannot wait to gain market share for Sana Commerce. The Australian and New Zealand region is one of our growth regions, where we see a lot of potential. How will you do it? You are not looking for a path that is already set in stone — you want to keep on experimenting to find the best way.
  • Self-Starting. You know what it takes to be a successful sales professional. You know how to manage your job and can take on responsibility.

As a Channel Sales Manager at Sana Commerce you’ll guide the new client sales trajectory by:  

  • Building a partner channel 
  • Developing partner relationships 
  • Following up on leads from ERP partners, marketing and the inside sales team  
  • Attending events 
  • Training and educating partners 
  • Giving online product demonstrations  
  • Visiting prospects and advising them on their digital transformation 
  • Working with our e-commerce consultants and partners to translate the needs of our clients into a custom product solution 
  • Being an excellent conversationalist who can skillfully guide the sales process 
  • Closing deals!
