Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and motivated professional with a creative outlook and an analytical mind to join our growing Marketing team. In this role you’ll be helping us drive demand.  In particular, we are looking for smart, high-energy candidates who can analyze the metrics on how much interaction we're getting from our content creation and marketing efforts, so that we can calculate ROI.  This role is responsible for high-level planning and direction of the Content Marketing strategy, as well as execution of the strategic plans. This role will be responsible for delivering on the goal of driving significant traffic and leads through search engines and social channels.

The job of the Content Marketer is to think like a cross between a direct marketer and a publisher, owning the content calendar and leading the development of content initiatives that do more than educate – we have to influence, activate, monetize engagement across all programs and audience segments.

The ideal candidate is an excellent presenter and creative thinker with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be extremely well-organized and analytical with an ability to work well under pressure. S/He will institute and adhere to best practices, be a strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor. 

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  •  Analyze needs and create a strategy to manage content throughout the entire content lifecycle
  • Bring our work to life across multiple assets, working against the product marketing go-to-market strategy.
  • Build and sustain relationships with influencers of all types, developing our key communities.
  • Repurpose existing content into alternative pieces of content that may take the form of blog posts, white papers, case studies, and social media posts
  • Drive traffic and leads by promoting gated and ungated content
  • Make our customers successful!

Qualifications:

  • A passion for technology
  • Skill at both long-form content creation (e.g., white papers, ebooks, webinars, blog posts) and short form content (e.g., tweets, Facebook posts, abstracts)
  • Experience creating strategic digital campaigns.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to gather content from multiple sources
  • Fastidious and effective project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in both traditional and data-driven marketing
  • A deep practical knowledge of analytics, social media, and online publishing.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS)
  • Some management experience.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • The kind of strategic thinking that helps you bring in big returns on content development.
  • Project management skills.
  • A willingness to think beyond copy and experiment with new ways to create and distribute content.
  • Comfortable juggling several projects at once.
  • Great “people skills" and ability to build relationships in person and virtually
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong collaboration acumen and ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of Customer Experience and NPS is a plus

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years experience in digital publishing or marketing – preferably in a high tech company
  • Experience creating compelling messages for different target demographics, across multiple channels
  • Experience building content that targets all stages of marketing funnel
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization, social medial and digital marketing tactics
  • Experience in data analysis and key metrics tracking
  • Experience working with creative teams or agency management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BS degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or related field
  • MBA a plus
