Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Business Manager to be responsible for all aspects of Satmetrix Online Advisory Subscription Portal.  S/He will be responsible for driving new subscriber acquisition and increasing lifetime value of the subscribers. S/He will be responsible for the P&L of the business and strategic product management; continuously enriching the product by recruiting and managing contributors and content delivery teams; and curating the content to ensure consistently compelling best practice advisory content is delivered via the online portal.

The Business Manager will identify, collaborate, and maintain relationships with key subject-matter experts and stakeholders across the company and within the Net Promoter network. The ideal candidate will seek opportunities to build brand equity through managing value-adding projects focused on continuous growth and improvement of the portal infrastructure, tools and processes, communication, and community.

S/He is entrepreneurial by nature with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be extremely well-organized and analytical with an ability to work well under pressure.  S/He will institute and adhere to industry-leading best practices, be a strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall P/L and growth of our Online Advisory Subscription business
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and work with Marketing to drive subscriber acquisition
  • Project manage content development initiatives and production pipelines to continuously deliver compelling best practice advisory content to the subscription portal
  • Develop content editorial calendar and manage content production timelines
  • Source, vet and negotiate with external content and/or production partners to maximize ROI
  • Coordinate internal and external content providers to maximize operational efficiency
  • Curate content to be packaged and delivered in an online environment
  • Work with Finance and content providers on the preparation and management of budgets
  • Report timely and accurate subscriber loyalty, operational and financial performance metrics
  • Establish and continuously review product strategy to align with organizational goals and ROI

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of driving revenue through an online subscription product
  • Proven track record in growing and managing P/L
  • Proven customer-oriented attitude
  • Advanced product management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture
  • Strong business acumen and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Understanding of Customer Experience and NPS is a plus

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years product P/L management
  • Experience with research subscription service and the subscription development process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
  • BS degree in business, marketing, finance or similar concentrations is required
  • MBA preferred
