Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in supporting the organization, responsible for helping to drive accurate analysis, budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting for departments and functions spanning the corporate landscape.

This is a highly visible and complex role, in direct support of executives and others across the entire organization. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of performance in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry; financial modeling expertise; a deeply analytical approach to problem-solving; be extremely well organized and detail-oriented; and, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Responsibilities:

• Developing financial forecasts, budgets, and analyses, utilizing large sets of data extracts.

• Partnering with business leaders to assess the full financial costs of strategic and operational plans.

• Proactively identifying, designing, and implementing enhancements and improvements to existing planning processes, systems, and tools.

• Driving continuous process improvement in reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities through automation, consolidation and quality improvement.

• Commission calculation and forecasting (experience with Xactly tool is a plus).

• Monthly and quarterly reporting that highlights headcount and expense trends, and variance analysis.

• Assisting other FP&A team members with analyses, presentations, and management reporting;

• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting, in support of financial and operational decisions;

• Partnering with other FP&A team members to maintain important company-wide and department-specific KPIs;

• Contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting analysis and deliverables, providing management with a detailed look into historical and prospective business performance;

Qualifications


• Direct experience managing short- and long-term financial planning processes.

• Excellent financial modeling, booking, and revenue recognition skills in a SaaS environment.

• Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes.

• Results-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple objectives.

• Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives.

• Ability to organize, evaluate and manage workflow.

• Process oriented, but flexible around business needs.

• Must be skilled at analyzing large data sets.

• Financial planning system user experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Adaptive Planning and NetSuite software).


Requirements:

• 4-6 years applicable work experience.

• Strong financial background, with advanced financial modeling skills.

• Clear and accurate analytical and communication skills.

• Extremely well organized with impeccable attention to detail.

• Proven business analysis experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.

• MBA preferred.
