Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and play a central role in shaping the future of Schoolrunner.

What we expect:

  • Responsible for ensuring the software product deployed to production is of high quality with few defects.
  • Design and implement automated test solutions for new products.
  • Assist with design and execute manual tests for new and existing products.
  • Prepare specification documentation according to procedure and industry best practices
  • Evaluate problems identified in production and assist with resolution strategies.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.



Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience with developing test cases and automated test scripts
  • Writing and reviewing process documentation and providing continual improvement plans
  • Experience using a CI (Continuous Integration) environment and build tools
  • Ability to write Unit Tests in PHP and/or JavaScript
  • Experience with Selenium or other web application testing tools
  • Current with latest software engineering tools, processes, and technology
  • Passion for creativity and innovation
  • Preferred, but not required, strong programming knowledge, and ability to write SQL
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience of testing web and mobile apps
  • Detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
