RF ENGINEER

The position requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques. Candidates will be expected to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, working under general supervision. Successful candidate should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens

Required Skills:

A four year degree is required for this position

A solid analytical background and practical understanding of RF design considerations to include experience or relevant course work.

Experience in test and measurement of RF products.

Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor DX Designer, MATLAB, MathCad, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and Advanced Design System (ADS).

Troubleshooting and organizational skills to support development and production tasks.

Desired Skills:

Strong problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.

Strong technical and interpersonal skills with desire to support enterprise initiatives.

Ability to develop project schedules, qualification plans, and management of sub-tier suppliers.

Group management skills, leadership skills and strong communication skills.

Required Education (including Major):

PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master's Degree with two (2) years minimum experience or a Bachelor degree with four (4) years minimum experience.

Majors: Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Physics from an ABET accredited curriculum.
