About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate, mission-driven Head of Product to own the product strategy and implementation across our organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the innovation and growth of Seed&Spark’s products and all associated day-to-day product-related activities, ensuring that these products meet the needs of our business, our customers and our mission. This role also oversees the engineering team, working hand-in-hand with the engineering lead to ensure resources are properly aligned with priorities.
There is a high degree of cross-functional collaboration needed across the Seed&Spark team as this role listens, learns and shares product insights.
You love to understand how products work, how customers engage with them and how you can improve them to align with purpose, customer need and business objectives. As someone who has worked on products big and small, you carry both micro and macro capabilities - extremely organized with attention to detail who can also zoom out and understand the big picture at 30,000 ft. You figure out the right questions to ask to figure out the best solutions.
You are a senior product leader who loves to roll up their sleeves, tackling challenges big and small. A big thinker who is also a team player and can jump in and help out wherever and whenever needed. You believe in asking questions and listening intently, while also being decisive and vocal. Here’s what you’ll do in your role:
Own, drive, and execute the Seed&Spark product strategy and roadmap, based on company business objectives (financial and mission-driven), on-going market and customer analysis, forecasting, and resource constraints.
Define product department goals with clearly measurable KPIs
Work closely with the engineering lead to align on quarterly engineering goals and resource needs
Lead and supervise product and engineering team members through the product development lifecycle end-to-end.
Work cross-functionally to ideate and execute platform solutions
Serve as the primary product owner for our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) products
Create and maintain clear product requirements and documentation
Manage product interaction planning and prioritization
Manage product and technology COGS and OPEX costs
Serve as the hiring manager for open product department positions, as needed
Communicate regularly with stakeholders, the executive team, and the rest of company on product strategy and plans
Preferred skills and experience:
At least 5 years of digital product management experience under your belt, including at least 3 years in SaaS
Strong track record in launching and growing new products. Experience working in a category creator a plus.
People management/leadership experience a must. Managing and supporting remote employees a plus.
Experience driving complex technology projects
Experience with software engineering practices
Adept at communicating with highly-technical engineering teams
Strong analytical and strategic skills
Proven project management success
Excellent communication skills
High emotional IQ
Digital video or content product experience preferred
