Job Description
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer on this project, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of mechanical works. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and supervising the installation of mechanical equipment, including piping systems, pressure vessels, compressors, and gas handling systems
- Ensuring all mechanical installations comply with relevant engineering codes, industry standards, and project specifications
- Monitoring contractor performance, quality of workmanship, and adherence to project schedules
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, as well as external contractors and vendors
- Conducting inspections, reviewing technical documentation, and resolving on-site engineering issues
- Supporting pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure systems are fully operational and meet design intent
- Promoting and enforcing strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all site activities
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in gas, petrochemical, energy, or similar heavy industrial environments
- Proven experience in mechanical installation and construction within industrial plant projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including piping design, rotating equipment, and pressure systems
- Experience working within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project environments
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO)
- Demonstrated experience working with hazardous, flammable, or high-pressure gas systems
