Job Description

• Work with Engineers and Product Managers to understand new features and their use cases in order to document them in a simple, organized, and easy-to-understand manner

• Keep up with the rapid changes in products and constantly strive to improve the documentation 

• Develop release notes, user guides, and administrator guides for all product lines, with polished & cohesive content and great formatting & visuals

• Write clear, concise, and complete step-by-step procedures for technical products and solutions

• Create architecture, flow, and process diagrams to increase the visual/graphical content to complement/substitute textual content where applicable

• Write the content in the authoring software MadCap Flare as per the existing style guides and procedures, and maintain it in SVN version control

• Meet all deadlines, while maintaining high quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Technical Communications or Computer Science

• 7+ years of experience in writing about enterprise software, ERP systems, or similar applications

• Demonstrated track record in delivering innovative and elegant documentation, working based on broad objectives and with minimal hand-holding & oversight

• Excellent oral & written communication skills and attention to detail

• Strong technical skills, with ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn how the system works

• Experience in writing content using authoring tools such as MadCap Flare


NICE TO HAVE:

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and technologies used to create browser-based content.

• Exposure to SaaS/Cloud-based business applications 

• Working knowledge of any CRM application like Salesforce.com, Siebel, PeopleSoft, or Oracle 

• Exposure to Agile development methodologies
