Our client, located in Toronto, ON is looking for a BSA with Trading

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Interface with Project Manager(s), other BSAs and developers, as well as with other technical teams, to identify, document and manage the business requirements/specifications for various projects, that could be cross functional and technically complex
  • Responsible and accountable for the business requirements/specifications to be complete, correct, consistent, concise, achievable and to obtain signoff from the business owners
  • Establishes/maintains partnership with required lines of business in order to determine optimal solutions and alternatives for various business and systems needs to ensure clients make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with the overall System Architect and developer(s) to determine the best possible technical/system design to fulfill the business requirements
  • Review of test plans/strategies, monitor required test cases and expected results, and perform UAT in collaboration with clients to ensure that initiatives being implemented are fully tested and meet the expected objectives
  • Provides support to the Project Manager/Manager in developing and maintaining project timelines and project status
  • Maintain focus as priorities change, keeping business needs and importance in perspective as it relates to overall strategic goals
  • Provide second level support expertise to application support/system analysts in case of complex issues with existing processes and applications arise


Skills Required

  • In-depth understanding of various investment products, market practices, securities operations, compliance and regulatory requirements, industry trends
  • Proven track record working complex projects and building IT solutions for wealth management functions
  • Ability to co-ordinate assigned project activities, provide accurate estimates in order to consistently meet the project deadlines within the expected quality
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adjust project deliverables as needed and timely communicate with project stakeholders (IT and business)
  •  Excellent analytical ability, judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Possess an understanding/experience of System/Software Development Life Cycle methodology
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good interpersonal and team skills


Technical Knowledge 

  • SQL scripting/querying is an asset.
  • Knowledge of various testing strategies for wealth management systems
