Showpad is looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to join us. You will:

• Develop platform functionality in PHP, partially using the Symfony2 framework
• Improve software and technical architecture and toolset of the platform
• Integrate with data and process technologies such as MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Proactively find ways to make Showpad a better tool for accelerating sales
• Contribute to improving our development processes and environments
• Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and other engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or higher in a Computer Science oriented field of study, or equivalent through experience
• 2-5y relevant experience
• Speak fluent PHP or learn it easily
• Have an instinct for software architecture and communicate your visions easily
• Understand quality and how to improve quality processes (test-driven development)
• Understand database design concepts
• Solid understanding of the full web technology stack
• Be proactive at maintaining and improving Showpad's ease-of-use
• Contribute to improving our development processes and environments
• Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and other engineers

Desired

• Speak other system-level languages for tooling
• Good understanding of OS concepts and internals with Linux, practical shell scripting skills
• Good written communication and documentation abilities
• Experience in or understanding of distributed data and queuing mechanisms
• Experience in or understanding of an API-driven approach to software architecture
