Job Description

SilverCrest Properties is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Program Director for Kingsley Shores in Lakeville, MN. Kingsley Shores is scheduled to open in September, 2013. The 101 senior living community will consist of independent and assisted living apartments and memory care suites.

Key responsibilities.

The Program Director is responsible for the overall planning, directing, performing, facilitating and monitoring resident programs for the entire campus with the support of a full time Memory Care Program Coordinator. The Program Director develops group and individual programs which encompass the six dimensions of Wellness (physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and vocational). The Program Director is also responsible for developing and monitoring the budget related to resident programming. Responsibilities also include providing outreach and support to residents and families; supervising and monitoring the effectiveness of the programs developed; and problem solving.

Qualifications

Qualifications.

Candidates should have at least two years in a program-related director (supervisory/management) position preferably in a senior housing setting. This person must be customer service oriented, highly energetic, motivated, creative, enthusiastic, and must possess exceptional communication and organization skills along with a strong team work ethic. The right candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in therapeutic recreation, with knowledge and experience in the field of aging and dementia related program development, as well as leadership and supervisory experience. Other key qualifications include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexibility, superb people skills, and a passion for older adults.
