Job Description

To provide sales & product planning, support and execution to deliver positive results with our major EU and UK partners by building a long term, sustainable and profitable business and delivering on business expectations with this important account base. Working across all divisions within our Skechers product portfolio this role will be responsible for ensuring all research and preparation is completed and ready ahead of range presentation selection meetings, helping to deliver commercial results and success to the company and partner.

  • These accounts include strategically high profile and commercially vital Customers such as Amazon Eu, QVC International, Sports Direct Eu, TK Maxx Eu as well as other Major UK Customers.
  • Working alongside the NAM team.
  • Range planning; using data, sell through, review and help plan and create the ranges for the Account meetings.
  • Knowledge of customer, product and store distribution, will aid understanding of product planning.
  • SKU – width, depth, and weeks cover planning
  • Sell through info – review, analyse and use to benefit Skechers and the Customer, highlight strong and weaker styles and recommend / take appropriate action
  • Order book management / involvement – watch and help manage the order book, intake and liaison with the Buying & Merchandising teams.
  • Seeking ‘at once’ business, using sell through, driving more styles / seeking stock and recommending alternatives.
  • Monthly major account reviews: sell through, product, success, failures, reaction, at once and recommendations.
  • Creating account presentations/numbers/formulated buy sheets.
  • Utilise data and insight to scope, recommend and help to execute plans/opportunities/mitigate risk and drive efficiencies within our major accounts.
  • Build plan and present collections/injection ranges as required to major accounts. Identify key styles across genders and be able to share this knowledge with accounts
  • Support the planning of Sales Meetings/Tradeshows and support customers’ Wholesale meetings (as required).
  • Ask great questions, probe into detail, listen effectively, manage objections and find solutions - all in a clear, structured and naturally well managed way linking benefits of a proposal to retailer needs.
  • Seek to develop understanding of customer needs using excellent listening skills and strategic questioning to ‘build a story’ towards a prepared outcome; anticipating likely issues and objections
  • Develop with the retailer/partner to shape and challenge their strategy to create joint value and influence long-term strategic decisions.
  • Work alongside the National Account Controller to analyse key performance data and use data to influence and challenge short to medium term strategies with key retailers.
  • Use consumer insight as the basis to influence decision making internally with key retailers.
  • Work in our showrooms with accounts. Learn and develop your knowledge of all product groups.
  • Become an expert on all elements of product technical benefits and be able to present, advise and explain to buyers, staff and internal as necessary.
  • Provide backup support to Showroom Coordinator as required.
  • Able to interpret and source information from Smartview and Laramie and present this internally or externally in a concise, user friendly manner.
  • Pro-actively manage and provide reporting on sales analysis / order planning.
  • Able to explore/develop new reporting tools suited to the digital business constraints.

Qualifications

  • Must be an advanced user of Excel – formulas with experience in (Macros/V-Look Ups)
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proven Account Management Experience working in the branded fashion / footwear industry
  • Experience in product segmentation - delivering the proposition in line with brand strategy
  • Ability to build a persuasive selling story
  • Ability to influence decisions internally and externally
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to be able to complete projects on time in full
  • Ability to analyse data and spot trends
  • Experience of working across departments from Sales/Marketing and Customer Service
  • Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Prepared to travel UK and Europe as required.
