SKECHERS, an award-wining global leader in the lifestyle footwear industry, designs, develops and markets lifestyle footwear that appeals to trend-savvy men, women and children.

Work as a part of the web services team to design and create the client-side interface for skechers.com and other various internal and external web applications.

Develops new product features and new applications within an Agile environment, as well as maintaining and supporting existing applications

Follows coding standards, builds appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts

Assists in defining software architectures – collaborates with team members to explore existing systems, determines areas of complexity, identifies potential risks to successful implementation, proposes and executes workable solutions

Translates designs and style guides provided by the UI/UX team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance

Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies

Delivers high quality code that is maintainable and readable and adheres to our coding standards

Strong understanding of object oriented JavaScript

Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Backbone, Marionette, and Ember

Considerable experience with unit testing frameworks like Jasmine, Mocha, or QUnit and writing testable code

Familiar with JavaScript libraries such as Handlebars, jQuery, Underscore, and Require.js

Well-versed in software engineering principles and best practices

Strives to continuously improve the development process

Takes ownership of their work and contributes to an effective project team

Follows through to job completion

B.S. in computer science, or equivalent experience

5 or more years of JavaScript development for multiple platforms and screens

Experience with Coffeescript, CSS3, Sass and responsive design is a plus
